History

In the 80's, Brazil went through lots of politic and ecoomic changes. Inflation in the economy was growing and the prices in some sectors were readjusted below the official rates or delayed, undermining the financial return and income of those who took from rental property the family support.

After a series of prejudice, in 1985 the trader João Steinhausen decided to turn the Suzan Building into a new enterprise for his family. Lots of changes were made in the structure of the ancient building in order to improve it. In august 1987, after 9 months of hard work, Hotel Steinhausen was created, with 24 rooms. In 1990 and 1998, he acquired two other properties and turned them into Hotel Steinhausen Colonial, with more 25 rooms, and he also created Steinhausen Apart Hotel.

Today, there are 87 rooms divided in 3 units, in 2 different places in Blumenau, providing different choices for the visitors and sales representatives who need a quiet and safe place to stay in the city of Blumenau.
